Stockers Lake Sunday 09th Jan

nice Clear day around Stockers saw the following :

1 Nuthatch at bird table (Tern Hide), 1 Egyptian Goose, 1 Red Crested Pochard (Male)

The 3 day chase for the waxwing ends in sucess

After chasing the invasion of waxwings around Watford for three days it end up in Chiswell Green just out side St Albans and it was worth the wait as per the pictures 38 Waxwing very lucky

Scott's Bridge Mills Watercress Bed

After a tricky walk though the muddy fields whilst the snow had melted we made it to the crest beds to see the following

3 Water Rail, 1 common snipe, 2 little egret

The Fisheries Maple Cross Wednesday 29th December

On arrival 90 % of the lake frozen however was two pockets of open water with lots of water fowl highlights were :

1 Male Golden Eye, 2 Gooseanders, 4 Little Grebe
